About Us

Building a state government that reflects and serves the needs of the people.

The Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Democracy Table centers the needs of this constituency and gives BIPOC communities a leading role in the necessary changes to the current system:

  • Organize BIPOC communities to think about, propose, and demand structural reforms that will lead to increased civic participation from BIPOC communities
  • Developing a shared vision and agenda to achieve structural reforms that promote a democracy that is inclusive of people of color
  • Develop or influence a civic engagement program created for BIPOC communities by BIPOC leadership
  • Expand the “coalition” to include smaller and startup BIPOC-led community-focused organizations across the state.
  • Local Governance and Education

Members of the table determine the table’s scope.
